Happy 2022!!!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! I have no idea how/where to begin.

Every January 1st we make promises to ourselves that we try to keep. We also reflect on the past year and what it did and didn’t bring. Social Media has made these reflections somewhat of a competition. “Who had a better business year? Who went on the most bomb vacation spots? Who actually lived out their manifestations?” Etc.

I’m no longer in the business of overworking, over stressing and over thinking. Last year, I focused on gratitude and wellness. My year ended with me getting COVID after 2yrs of being in the house, masking, not traveling, no parties and social distancing.

I had so much more to vlog about but I’ll end this here. I’m still in bed at the end of my quarantine and my creativity isn’t flowing the way I want it to.

Happy New Year 2022!!!

Ellen’s Emotional Reminder to Celebrate Life Every Day

In the wake of the news of Kobe Bryant’s passing along with his 13yr old daughter, Gigi and 7 other passengers, the world seems like it’s almost at a standstill. No matter how many times you read a Tweet, scroll past and Instagram post or watch the news; these untimely deaths seem surreal.

Most of us are at a loss for words full of many tears. Kobe Bryant was and still is an inspiration to us all; whether you grew up with him like I did, you were a kid emulating his moves or just a fan of his hardwork and effort.

We don’t when or where we’ll be when it’s our time to pass on. Until then love each, hug each other, and tell someone you love them!

My Disabled Instagram Page

Copy of WHY I DISABLED MY IG PODCAST COVER

I have been frustrated with Instagram for quite sometime. From the followers who follow to unfollow, the ghost followers, and all of the people in between. I felt like I was running in circles, posting and uploading, day in and day out.

I was glued to IG for more than one reason: work, clients and just pure entertainment. One day I had enough and I knew that temporarily disabling my Instagram account was the answer.

I had deadlines to meet, creativity to spark and sacrifices to make in order to stay on my path to success.

I recorded this podcast immediately after temporarily disabling my account. Listen and comment below if you can relate, if you can’t relate and tell me some of the things that you’ve given up in order to become successful.

Jada Pinkett Smith opens up about her hair loss

(CNN)-Jada Pinkett Smith opened up about her struggle with hair loss in the latest episode of her Facebook talk show, Red Table Talk.

The actress recalled the “terrifying” moment she first noticed she was losing “handfuls of hair” in the shower.

“It was one of those times in my life where I was literally shaking with fear,” she said. “That’s why I cut my hair and continued to cut it.”

Despite having many medical tests, Pinkett Smith said she has not been able to find the cause of her alopecia. She suspects it might be stress.

Perspective helped Pinkett Smith cope with the emotional impact of her hair loss.

“The higher power takes so much from people… and, by golly, if the higher power wants to take your hair. That’s it?” she said.

These days, Pinkett Smith said she enjoys using turbans, as they help conceal her condition and are an empowering fashion choice.

“When my hair is wrapped, I feel like a queen,” she said.

Currently in its third episode, Red Table Talk features Pinkett Smith, her mother Adrienne Canfield Norris, and daughter Willow Smith, diving deep into a personal topic each week.

Other episodes have focused on loss and motherhood.

Make America Great? “The Film | Dramedy”

Make America Great? “The Film | Dramedy

“It’s 2021, the beginning of the second term after the most anticipated Presidential election in 2016. The 13th and the 14th no longer exist.”

This film has a perceptive concept and will have you on the edge of your seat and waiting for what happens next, meanwhile laughing uncontrollably. This is a film that will demonstrate the thoughts of some in America right now during such a historic time.

The story of this film is that minorities have become illegal Aliens in an attempt to throw all disenfranchised groups in concentration camps, separating them from normal society as we know it. In Los Angeles, we meet a small group of runaways hiding out in an abandoned church debating how to get out the country. While the tone is overly dramatic and comical, it is through their conversations we learn about each character struggles with identity and self-acceptance. Although they butt heads in the beginning they ultimately form a bond of unity to survive.

The award-winning film writer, director and commercial producer Candice Vernon is set to premiere her newest body of work, “Make America Great?” this January 2017. Vernon is best noted for her work Apartment 309 co-starring Ice-T, featured in Elle Magazine, and many more. Vernon’s two episodic series that she wrote were semifinalist at the Sundance Episodic lab.

Candice Vernon dropped everything including her job as an Executive Producer in New York and moved to Los Angeles to use her voice as a tool to educate and entertain through media. Ever since Vernon has made this move the cards have been aligning in her favor. The trailer views for this film alone she has been offered an indie feature film to Direct and is being packaged to direct it by the end of the summer. Vernon is under the tutelage of Director Shyam Madiraju and TV writer/showrunner Eunetta T. Boone.. The past year a few notable accounts have followed Vernon such as: Pam Grier, Sundance Film Festival, Ava Duvernay’s Film Company, Difficulty People (TV Show), The Mindy Project (TV Show) and Hulu.
